Director-level telemarketing

A specialist with twenty years on the phone, booking meetings with the people on your list

Some doors only open with a voice. AA2's business development calling is one hand-picked specialist working at director level, calling a list built for your market, from £300 a day and quoted before a single call is made.

Why it works

The phone got quiet. That is the opportunity.

Most of your competitors stopped calling years ago. Inbox filters got tighter, LinkedIn got noisier, and the phone became the one channel where a decision maker is not fielding fifty approaches a day.

That only helps if the person calling can hold a conversation at the right level. A managing director does not take a call from a script. They take a call from someone who understands their business, asks a sensible question, and knows when to stop talking.

That is why AA2 works with one specialist rather than a room of callers. More than twenty years of appointment setting, a track record of getting past gatekeepers by earning their trust in a short conversation, and no interest in dialling through a list for the sake of the numbers.

The call is the part of B2B marketing we deliberately do not hand to a machine. Everything around it can be automated. The conversation cannot.

What it includes

Four parts, and the list is the one most people skip

A calling day buys the conversations, but the result is decided before the first dial: by the brief, and by whether the names on the list are actually the right people.

  1. 01

    The brief

Before anyone picks up a phone we agree who you want to reach, what a good outcome looks like, and what you need to know if the answer is not yet. The call is shaped around your questions, not a script.

  2. 02

    The list

Calling works when the names are right. The list comes from the data service, built for your market, verified and scored, or from your own CRM once it has been checked. Nobody dials a rented list.

  3. 03

    The calls

A specialist with more than twenty years of appointment setting makes the calls at director level, in agreed day blocks. Gatekeepers are handled with rapport rather than persistence, which is why the right people take the call.

  4. 04

    The notes

Every conversation is written up the same day: who said what, where the interest sits, what was promised, and what happens next. Meetings land in your diary; the fact-finding lands in your CRM.

Paired with the data service

Good calling starts with a list that is known to be right

The most common reason a telemarketing campaign disappoints has nothing to do with the caller. The list was wrong: the wrong companies, the wrong job titles, numbers that went to a switchboard nobody answers.

So the calling usually runs on top of the lead generation and data service. The list is researched against your brief, verified contact by contact, and scored on fit, so calling days go to the people most likely to buy. Because you own that data, it keeps working after the campaign ends, for email, for follow-up and for the next round of calls.

Where the calling sits inside a monthly tier, the notes from each conversation feed the same dashboard as everything else, so you can see meetings booked against days worked without asking.

In their words

What the phone has produced

Real client feedback on calling campaigns, verbatim, attributed by role and sector at each client's request.

One of our first campaigns I'd spent £4,500 with you and one of the 39 appointments you booked signed and the revenue was over £9,000,000 a year.
Managing Director, a unified communications change consultancy
After 10 months of calling for us once a week, so far you've consistently hit 150% of the target which we thought was a push in the first place.
Sales Director, a financial and investment advice firm
40 CPDs booked which was more than I'd hoped in such a short space of time. Long may this continue. This has also opened up new business opportunities.

Telemarketing add-on

from £300 per day

Quoted by the day and agreed before any calls are made. No retainer, no lock-in.

Director-level calling

A requirement, not a preference: two decades on the phone

AA2 only works with callers who have more than twenty years of appointment-setting experience. This is not a junior with a list. It is a specialist who has spent a career getting senior people to take the call.

Two things make that rare. Senior decision-makers have very little time, so reaching them at all is hard. And getting a gatekeeper, PA or receptionist to willingly pass on a director's mobile number takes a skill very few people have, the kind that comes from earning genuine trust and rapport in a short conversation.

No call centres. No scripts. The call is shaped around the questions you actually want answered, whether the goal is an appointment in the diary, some honest fact-finding, or reaching the right influencer inside the business.

If you believe a real conversation with your ideal client would put more appointments in the diary, the telemarketing add-on is quoted by the day and agreed before any calls are made.

Straight answers

The questions owners ask before a calling campaign

What does director-level telemarketing cost?

From £300 a day, plus VAT, quoted by the day and agreed before any calls are made. There is no retainer and no minimum term. Most campaigns run in blocks of one or two days a week over a few months, because senior people are reached on the second or third attempt, not the first.

How many meetings should we expect?

It depends on the list, the offer and the seniority of the person being called, so nobody honest will promise a number up front. What we can say is what has happened before: one client saw 39 appointments from an early campaign, another had 40 continuing professional development sessions booked in a short run, and a third hit 150 percent of target for ten months running. The brief is where we set a realistic figure together.

Is this a call centre?

No. One hand-picked specialist makes the calls, and the same person calls your prospects for the whole campaign. There is no dialler, no script read from a screen and no team of juniors. That is the reason it works at director level, and the reason it is priced by the day rather than by the call.

Do we need the data service as well?

Not always. If you already hold a clean list of the right people, we verify it and call it. If you do not, the lead generation and data service builds one for your market first, and the calling starts against names that are known to be right. Calling a bad list is the most expensive way to find out it was bad.

Would a real conversation with your ideal client put meetings in the diary?

Book a call and tell us who you want to reach. You will get a straight read on whether calling is the right channel, and what a sensible first campaign looks like.
